The BvPTiers mod
Shows bvptiers.com PvP tiers next to player names in nametags and the tab list. Nothing to set up: install it and join a server.
Features
What it does
Nametags
The tier sits right before (or after) the name above every player's head.
Tab list
Hold TAB and see the whole lobby's tiers at a glance.
Highest or one mode
Show each player's best tier with its mode icon, or lock it to the mode you are playing.
Works offline
One small snapshot is cached on disk, so tiers show instantly, even without internet.
Peak and retired
Retired tiers get an R prefix; optionally show a ↑ peak hint.
Region
Optionally show where a player is from: NA, EU, SA, AS, OC, ME, AF.
Download
One build per Minecraft line: click your version to download its jar (BvPTiers 1.0.0). Every build needs Fabric Loader and Fabric API; Mod Menu is optional.
Verify a download: SHA-256 checksums.
Tab list preview
The same tags appear in the player list. Icons are 16×16 pixel art drawn for BvPTiers and rendered in white so their colours show.
Install
- Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version, plus Fabric API.
- Drop the BvPTiers jar for your version into your
modsfolder. - Start the game and join any server. Tiers show up as soon as the snapshot is loaded.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/bvptiers | Help: lists the subcommands, the mod version and the data status. |
/bvptiers player <name> | Instant lookup from the local snapshot: title, rank, points, region and every ranked mode, plus a link to the profile. |
/bvptiers mode <slug|highest> | Choose which mode the tags show, or go back to your highest tier. |
/bvptiers toggle | Turn the tags on or off. |
/bvptiers refresh | Download the latest snapshot now. |
/bvptiers config | Open the settings screen. |
/bvptiers status | Players loaded, data version, last download and the API address. |
Keybinds
Two keybinds in the BvPTiers category, both unbound by default: Cycle displayed gamemode (Highest → each mode → Highest, with an action-bar message) and Open BvPTiers settings.
Configuration
Change everything from the settings screen (Mod Menu, the keybind or /bvptiers config), or edit config/bvptiers.json.

The mod downloads one compact snapshot of every ranked player (/api/v1/snapshot) and refreshes it with an ETag every 10 minutes while you play on a multiplayer server (never in menus or singleplayer), so it stays light and never asks the API about each player it sees.
